Red Rock Canyon GIS Stuff

JPEG Images - These three-dimensional images were generated from USGS DEM data in SDTS format, then overlaid with road and stream data from USGS DLG files.  Quads were stitched together in ArcInfo, and then the elevation, hillshade, etc., were done in ArcView.

1. View to northwest along escarpment.

2. View to west, looking down on escarpment.

3. View of entire area, from higher perspective.

MPEG Movies - A couple of 3D flyovers.  They run a bit too fast - if you know how to adjust the frame speed on playback, let me know.

1. Short version - flys along the east face of the escarpment.

2. Long version - Does a loop along the east face of escarpment, then circles around the north end of Mt. Charleston and returns along Lovell Canyon, to the west of the Red Rocks.
